the United States Supreme Court overturned the Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act (PASPA). This decision legalizes sports betting - and it's great news for sports fans. DraftKings believes life is more fun when you have skin in the game, so we'd like to share what today's news means for you, our valued customers.

Since DraftKings was founded in 2012, our mission has been to bring fans closer to the games they love. Today's ruling will allow us to further drive fan engagement by harnessing our proven technology to provide you with an innovative online sports betting product.

DraftKings is uniquely positioned to succeed in this dynamic, new market. We are the world's largest daily fantasy sports platform with almost 10 million users. As an American company, we have a unique, authentic understanding of American sports fans, and already have strong relationships with professional leagues and teams.

So, when can you expect to place a wager through DraftKings? The timing will depend on when individual states move to pass the necessary legislation and set up the regulatory framework that will allow online sports betting. We're hopeful states will move quickly, but lawmakers need to hear directly from fans like you. You can take action right now by using our tool to contact your lawmakers.

Even with today's announcement, DraftKings remains fully committed to daily fantasy sports, which will continue to be a major focus for the company. In fact, sports betting and DFS already co-exist in many parts of the world. This powerful combination, combined with live streaming sports and original content, will position DraftKings - The Game Inside The Game - at the center of your fan experience. To celebrate with us, play tonight in the NBA $10K Celebration Free Contest.

As always, we'll keep you in the loop every step of the way, so be on the lookout for updates. For now, this is a huge win for sports fans everywhere and we're excited for another opportunity to bring our fans closer to the games they love.

Sincerely,

DraftKings

They aren't gambling though according to them. They should still face legal trouble imo. For saying they arent gambling related. But now want to take full advantage of the ruling. Scam company. I would pay money to fight the CEO of Draftkings/fanduel. These little bitch ass dweeb ass nerds. Worthless mother fuckers trying to ride the coattails of this ruling that real sports books have waited for for decades. Now these pathetic fucks think they have some clout now. They want to expand into placing wagers now? Kill yourself draftkings fucking kill yourselves.

Sincerely,

damn lmao. Why you so mad?

A business is trying to take advantage of a new law that opens up more doors and more money for them. I don't see anything wrong with that.

They made statements themselves that said they were not gambling related. That they were "a game of chance"

How is that respectable? This business was trying to take advantage of their type of monopoly gaming and call it "a game of chance" and not sports betting. Even though it was obviously 10000000% gambling. You bet money to win money. That's gambling. Period.

Now....there's no mention of that. Now they are completely fine with them being gambling associated now. They were bitching and fussing not to long ago about being deemed gambling. They are a pathetic company. How anyone could have respect for this company is baffling.

I didn't even mention they have been caught cheating against their customers. Something that they tried to make unimportant. It doesn't get any more important than not having integrity when peoples money is on the line.

After all the cheating stuff with fantasy ops, sorry, no interest.

Gambling is tough enough, it is impossible when you're playing against a loaded deck.

I didn't know about the cheating wow

Draftking employees won reportedly $6M playing daily fantasy sports against their own customers. How they did it? They looked at information that only the employees had access to. Such as the breakdown of what customers took in their lineups. So the employees just went with players that not many people took. Meaning they are fading the public and giving themselves a better chance by not duplicating customers lineups. Aka cheating/insider trading. Whatever u want to call it. The whole thing should have been shut down after that. For them to have the audacity to say they are not a form of gambling even after that happened is just so very sad and unbelievably pathetic on their part. Own up.
